My client, a well-respected, elite, well-funded AI scaleup, is seeking core 10x Software Engineers to join their team. This company is scaling hard with 2xYoY growth and is on track for unicorn status.**This company is based in Sydney and supports Hybrid or Remote work options**You will be working on problems and products that are changing the world for the better. My client is disrupting the Power and Electricity industry and was founded by an ex-Google Software Engineer.You will have the opportunity to work with the brightest AI/SWE talent in Australia - the team includes ex-Meta, Google, Atlassian and Canva engineers.The successful candidate will have:Excellent core problem-solving skillsStrong modern dev skills - preferably in one of the following languages - Java, Kotlin, C++, Rust - but any language is fine - my client is language agnostic when assessing talentStrong software engineering fundamentals - particularly across data structures and algorithms - my client cares more about this than language backgroundExcellent experience working on high-availability and large-scale systemsExcellent product design and development experienceStrong distributed systems experienceExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, AZURE, GCP)Math/statistics/data modelling experience is a plusExperience with machine learning engineering is desirable but not imperativeMust be a driven individual with a passion for product development, technology and learningYou must be happy, even relish, being intellectually challenged.Happy to - work hard, on hard problems, on hard mode - no weekend work, but the team is all inThis is an opportunity to work in a high-growth, fast-paced startup environment.
