Please learn about us before applying: www.balancenow.coThe Social Media Engagement Team Member is responsible for reading articles from the Content Team and creating social media posts with graphic designers for various social media platforms. The ideal candidate must have an intermediate understanding of social media platforms and their relative functions and engagement, calendar functions and important dates. This person must possess good interpersonal skills, coordination of dates, times, and holidays, adaptability to change, time management, organization, and establishing deadlines. They must be able to communicate verbally and through writing, and think analytically about their relevant audience and capturing content. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, proactive, confident, self-accountable, and passionate about their craft.Knowledge: Knowledge of social media platforms & functionsKnowledge of calendar functions and important datesGeneral knowledge of graphic design websites (Canva)Skills:Interpersonal skillsCoordinating dates, times, holidaysAdaptability (to change; new processes)Time management OrganizationEstablishing deadlinesAbilities:Communication (verbal, written)Creative thinking (reading articles and coming up with designs)Analytical thinking (relevant audience, design that captures necessary content)Reading comprehension (reading and assessing articles)Writing (content, Slack)Other Personality Characteristics:Empathetic (understanding/connecting with audience)Proactive (able to take initiative/self-directed)Confident (able to speak up; receptive to feedback; share opinions/concerns)Self-accountable (complete tasks with little supervision)Passionate (committed to their craft)Meetings: Wednesdays 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. PSTDetails: This is an unpaid internship. You will work remotely for 15 hours weekly with a flexible schedule. The duration of the internship is a minimum of 4 months to a maximum of 6 months.
