Location: Remote-first, preferably based in London or elsewhere in the United Kingdom. Open to exceptional candidates worldwide.Duration: 3–6 months, with the possibility to continue long-term.Hours: Part-time, approximately 10–15 hours per weekLanguage: English fluency required.Compensation: This is a paid opportunity, with the potential to transition into a full-time founding member role in the long run that includes meaningful equity.Village is hiring a Social Media Marketing Intern, a creative and curious social media wizard who loves storytelling, trends, and creating content that connects people.About Village:At Village, we believe while current social tools fulfil many purposes, they often fall short when it comes to meaningful connection.That’s why we’re building Village. It’s an emotionally intelligent social app for personal relationships, powered by a fun and thoughtful AI companion. Our mission is to address the loneliness epidemic by helping people strengthen their real-life relationships, not replace them.The companion acts as a social health guide, bringing a touch of magic to every relationship. It observes, learns, and offers personalised tools that help people stay connected more often and more meaningfully - even when life, time, or distance make it hard. It’s not “anti-social media,” but it is definitely “pro human-human connection.”What You’ll Do:You’ll work closely with our founders to:Plan, create, and publish viral, on-brand content across Instagram, TikTok, and more!Experiment with trends, formats, and storytelling that inspire real conversationsPlan and run creative viral campaigns, such as street interviews or social events, that explore human connection - for example, a Halloween costume as an unread WhatsApp thread would make great content!Share authentic behind-the-scenes moments and appear on camera for brand contentEngage with other creators and communities, commenting, connecting, and joining conversations from the Village account to build visibilityResearch what resonates with Gen Z and Millennials to shape our creative directionManage the content calendar and track performance to learn what works bestThis list is not limited - if you have creative ideas, we’d love to hear them and explore how we can bring them to life together.Who We’re Looking For: 👀Someone who lives and breathes social media, and naturally spots what makes content go viralA confident communicator who enjoys connecting with people both online and offlineSkilled in creating and editing content/video using modern or AI tools (e.g. Veo, CapCut, Canva etc.)A fast learner who can adapt quickly, take feedback, and grow with the teamComfortable in front of the camera and confident sharing new ideasCurious about psychology, relationships, and how technology can bring people closerIdeally studying (or recently graduated in) marketing, media, communications, or a related fieldIdeally, a creator who runs their own social channel or experiments with different content formatsWhy Join Village? 🌈Freedom to shape how Village shows up online and tell stories that matterThe chance to lead creative experiments, from viral campaigns to AI-assisted content projectsClose collaboration and mentorship from founders experienced in AI, product, and behavioural science, within a creative early-stage start-up environmentReal impact and visibility - your creative work will shape how people discover Village and contribute to a growing portfolio of viral content, campaigns, and social experiments you can proudly showcaseFlexible, remote-first setup with in-person co-working Fridays at The Old Sessions House, a London landmarkThe possibility to continue long-term and grow into the role you want - whether that’s Founder’s Associate or Growth ManagerApplication Process 📝We do not need CVs or cover letters.
