Location: Brisbane, New Farm.Full-time | Start January 2026 (flexible earlier start for the right applicant).We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to lead strategy, execution, and client relationships across a portfolio of lifestyle, hospitality, and service-based brands. We love people with a can-do attitude, who are culturally tapped-in and genuinely care about the stories they’re telling. The successful candidate will lead the development of social media strategies, content briefs for our creative team, write engaging copy, build online communities and own client relationships. You’ll also mentor junior team members and interns while contributing to the ongoing evolution of our agency and its creative output.ABOUT TMS:The Media Society is a boutique creative marketing agency specialising in strategy, creative execution and activation through:Brand & Messaging Strategy Content Creation & ProductionSocial Media Strategy & ManagementCreative Copy & DesignBrand Storytelling & Personal BrandingWe work with a mix of emerging and established brands - from hospitality and heritage businesses through to lifestyle, eComm, and B2B - helping them show up online in a way that actually feels human, intentional, and effective.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:Managing a vast portfolio of clients (both retainer & project based), building strong, long-term relationships.Lead WIP calls, strategy sessions, and day-to-day communication. Develop social media strategies, content pillars, and campaign plans across lifestyle, hospitality, and service-based brands.Build, manage, and present monthly content calendars across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and more.Brief and collaborate with designers, production, and editors to bring content concepts to life.Prepare proposals, pitch decks, and scopes for new or evolving work when required.Oversee content quality and consistency, providing constructive feedback and ensuring everything aligns with the strategy and brand voice. Manage scheduling, publishing, and community engagement across relevant platforms.Support on-shoot coordination, from campaign capture to BTS and on-the-day content needs.Identify what’s working (and what’s not) and recommend improvements based on data, trends, and client goals.Maintain organised task management, content trackers, and client documentation in shared systems.Contribute ideas, systems, and initiatives that support TMS’s creative and operational growth.ABOUT YOU:You’ll thrive in this role if you:Bring 4+ years’ experience across social media, strategy, or digital marketing roles.Are confident in managing multiple client accounts and balancing deadlines with ease.Can guide a client from “we’re not sure what we need” to a clear plan, strong ideas, and a strategic content calendar.Are fluent across all major social platforms and understand what works where.Feel comfortable with reporting, insights, and light paid social management.Write clearly and confidently, from emails to captions to campaign notes.Have excellent project management skills and love an organised spreadsheet or Project Management board.Are proactive, solutions-focused, and genuinely love taking ownership of your accounts.WHY USOur agency thrives in a creative, meaningful work environment.
