The role is part of a highly technical environment where system reliability, security, and performance are critical. Ideal ExpertWe are seeking an experienced, steady developer who takes ownership, mentors younger colleagues, and brings structure and confidence to ongoing development work. Developers with testing or integration backgrounds who have worked within safety-critical standards will also be considered.Responsibilities:Deliver production-grade software for safety-critical aviation systems within a DO-178C lifecycleCollaborate closely with systems, electronics, and lab teams to integrate, troubleshoot, and harden software on real hardware/test rigsBuild and maintain Python tooling/automation for analysis, verification, and CIProduce and maintain traceable artefacts (plans, requirements, designs, reviews, verification evidence) aligned to DAL expectationsEssential Skills:8+ years working with Software Development, within safety-critical or regulated industries (aerospace, defence, rail, or medical)Proficiency in C and Python for development and verification1+ years hands-on experience doing DO-178C processes and safety-critical lifecycle disciplineComfortable with lab-based integration and systematic debugging with instrumentation/logsNice to have:AUTOSAR experienceTesting or verification experience within a safety-critical environmentBackground in actuation or control systemsExposure to sensor or monitoring systemsExperience mentoring or supporting junior engineersPrior work within aerospace, defence, or other regulated industries (DO-178C, IEC 61508, EN 50128, or equivalent).Knowledge of safety standards or certification processes beyond DO-178CStrong documentation discipline and ability to contribute to artefacts for traceability and certification audits.Speaking Swedish would be desirable but not necessary Logistics:Location: Huskvarna (Jönköping)- on-site 5 days a week Start date: ASAP- interviews ongoingSecurity & Clearance: Swedish Citizenship- dual citizenship is acceptable if both are EU/NATO countriesIf you have the relevant capability and are interested in pursuing this assignment, talk to our sales consultants today at toby.okechukwu@cmcexpertisedelivered.com
