The candidate will design test cases and implement automated tests to ensure the quality of our software products, with a focus on UI and functional testing. The role requires a solid understanding of software testing methodologies, experience with test automation frameworks, and the ability to work collaboratively with developers and QA teams.Essential job functions/requirements:* Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress for UI testing and automated test scripts using API testing frameworks for API testing.* Create and maintain test plans and test cases based on functional and technical specifications for UI and API testing.* Optimize testing processes and reduce reliance on manual effort.* Collaborate with developers and QA teams to ensure test coverage and completeness for UI and API testing.* Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to coding standards for UI and API testing.* Analyze and report test results for UI and API testing, and collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.* Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies for UI and API testing.* Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in software testing and automation for UI and API testing.Job qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.* 3+ years of experience as an SDET, software engineer, or similar role.* Strong test design and test planning skills.* Experience with test automation frameworks such as Cypress for UI testing and automated API testing frameworks for API testing.* Proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript.* Knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices for UI and API testing.* Experience with Agile development methodologies.* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.* Strong communication and collaboration skills.Preferred qualifications:* Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools such as ADO, Jenkins, or GitLab.* Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.* Familiarity with mobile app testing frameworks such as Appium.Specialized knowledge & skills:* Accuracy and attention to detail.* Professional demeanor.* Ability to work effectively in a team setting.* Ability to work efficiently across distributed teams.* Aptitude for learning new technologies and concepts.* Proficient time management abilities.* Problem-solving and project management abilities.* Positive and pleasant disposition.
