With Hubio experiencing an exciting phase of growth and market expansion, new opportunities abound.   Position Summary As a Software Engineer – Level I, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing key features for our platform. You will be involved in all aspects of feature development, from the initial design phase to execution and deployment. This role requires a deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with other team members.  Key Accountabilities Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to participate in feature design and roadmap discussions. Translate feature designs into high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code. Ensure end-to-end ownership of projects, from design through implementation to deployment. Provide strong analytical insights and apply design patterns to solve complex problems. Develop and maintain applications using Python, Go, and JavaScript. Work closely with the DevOps team to deploy, monitor, and optimize services on AWS infrastructure.   Qualifications Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Python, Go (Golang). Solid understanding of software architecture and design patterns. Expertise with AWS services and infrastructure, including Batch, Lambda, Glue, ECS, S3 and RDS. Experience in building and managing scalable data pipelines Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.   Nice to Haves Experience or knowledge in the Canadian insurance industry. Experience with Angular 7+, React or other front-end frameworks. Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and experience working on user-facing products.  Working Environment Established company with a great start-up culture Hybrid work model Located in the heart of Downtown Toronto, above the PATH, 7-minute walk from Union Station  How to Apply: If you are ready to take on an exciting new challenge and help drive innovation in the insurance industry, we would love to hear from you!
