Founding Software Engineer | AI Systems | Greenfield Platform | Cologne (Hybrid)AI Futures have been retained to find a Founding Software Engineer for an AI scaleup developing a next-generation data and reasoning platform. Built primarily in TypeScript, the platform combines Knowledge Graphs and Generative AI to deliver intelligent, context-aware decision support for enterprise users.This is a hands-on, high-impact engineering role working closely with the founding team to design, build, and scale the core data and computation engine at the heart of the product.Hybrid: 3 days per week onsite in ColognePackage: Up to €100k salary + VSOPThe RoleDesign and build the platform’s TypeScript-based data modelling and computation layer.Develop scalable architecture that structures and connects complex enterprise data.Integrate AI, LLMs, and RAG components for advanced reasoning and insight generation.Prototype and iterate rapidly between backend logic and user-facing functionality.Contribute to system design, code quality, and platform reliability in a fast-paced environment.The Candidate5+ years of experience in software engineering or full-stack development.Expert-level TypeScript skills, with strong knowledge of SQL.Experience with React.js, Next.js, or Solid.js for front-end architecture.Hands-on experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, RDF/SPARQL).Familiarity with Generative AI (LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines).Languages: German (English a plus).AI Futures Ltd | Filling the AI Skills Gap®
