The individual in this role is comfortable adding features to legacy applications, as well as enhancing modern projects. The incumbent must have strong analytical skills. This person should embody a passion for continuous improvement and test-driven development.Duties/Essential Job FunctionsProvides mentorship for Software Engineers on your teamApproves/rejects pull requests and ensures the integrity of the code base and the adherence of established coding standardsDeploys projects with varying deployment pipelinesCompletes assigned issues without assistance from other engineersOffers intermediate level knowledge of the primary frameworks utilized and of coding architecture, to include but not limited to: Primary: Vue.js, .NET Core WebAPIs, Entity FrameworkDesigns and develops franchisee facing applicationsProvides ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platformsContributes to task identification, work effort estimates, and work schedules for development and maintenance activitiesAnalyzes, designs, and develops Nunit and Jest unit testsTests software development in an agile environment, including writing automation test that can run efficiently on buildCollaborates with other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently applies best practicesPrioritizes requests effectively and efficiently and works with a sense of urgencyParticipates in spontaneous conversations daily during regular business hoursEducation Or Equivalent ExperienceBachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and 3 or more years of experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience is requiredExposure to common JavaScript frameworks and object-oriented programming languagesExposure to writing automated test scripts and test casesSkills/Knowledge/Abilities (SKA) RequiredAbility to work within a high functioning teamAbility to write SQL queries and LINQ queries with Entity FrameworkProfessional exposure with automated testing toolsCan implement state-management patternsAttention to detailExcellent organizational skillsAbility to follow instructionsDemonstrated ability to work independently in a fully remote environmentActive Learning, understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-makingActive Listening – giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriateCritical Thinking – using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problemsSystems Analysis— Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.Systems Evaluation— identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.Problem Sensitivity— the ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
