Company DescriptionIsrael Hayom Group is one of Israel’s leading digital media organizations, operating high-traffic online news platforms that reach millions of readers daily across web and mobile.Our digital ecosystem includes: israelhayom.co.il, israelhayom.com, makorrishon.co.il and forreal.co.ilTogether, these platforms deliver real-time news, in-depth analysis, opinion, and multimedia content across politics, business, technology, culture, and more.We operate as a modern media-tech organization where technology is at the core of everything we do - from content management and distribution to performance optimization and audience engagement.Role DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Release Manager to own and lead all software deliveries to production across our products and platforms.This role is critical to ensuring predictable, high-quality releases, smooth production deployments, and fast, well-coordinated responses to P1 production incidents.The Release Manager works in a matrix environment, collaborating closely with Product/Project Managers, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient release cycles and operational excellence.QualificationsProfessional Experience5+ years of experience in Release Management, Delivery Management, or similar roles in software organizations.Proven experience managing production releases in complex, multi-team environments.Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and release automation.Experience working with microservices-based architectures and independent service releases.Experience managing high-severity production incidents (P1 / Sev-1).Technical & Process KnowledgeSoftware development lifecycle (SDLC)Release and change management best practicesRegression testing and quality gatesFamiliarity with DevOps tools and environments (e.g., CI/CD systems, monitoring, issue tracking).Ability to understand technical risks and translate them into clear release decisions.Collaboration & LeadershipProven ability to work in a matrix organization without direct authority.Strong facilitation skills for cross-functional meetings and decision-making forums.Excellent communication skills — clear, structured, and confident with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.High sense of ownership, accountability, and calm decision-making under pressure.
