About us:Amach is an industry-leading technology driven company with headquarters located in Dublin and remote teams in UK and Europe.Our blended teams of local and nearshore talent are optimised to deliver high quality and collaborative solutions.Established in 2013, we specialise in cloud migration and development, digital transformation including agile software development, DevOps, automation, data and machine learning… We are looking to recruit a Solution Architect who will play a pivotal role in our customer's technology team They'll define the technical direction and strategy within our customer's technology landscape designing innovative, all-encompassing solutions on a range of customer facing platforms.Key responsibilities & duties include:Responsible for the delivery of technology solutions that align with Enterprise Architecture (EA) principles, Data and Integration standards and Business Product Roadmaps, spanning both data and wider enterprise domainsGain in-depth technical knowledge of existing architectures, standards, and principles not only in the data space, but also across integration layers, domain-driven design, operational data stores, and event-driven systems, enabling delivery of key business initiativesIdentify and mitigate risk across a broad portfolio, including security vulnerabilities and technical complexity, in projects involving both greenfield and legacy systems, regardless of architectural domainDeliver solutions within the EI SAFe delivery framework (PCD framework), creating high-level solution designs and collaborating with engineering teams (data, integration, and application engineers) to implement these effectivelySupport the wider team of architects within agile squads through multi-phased project delivery, providing hands-on guidance and influencing standards for robust architecture roadmaps. Pay particular attention to how data and services are exchanged and flow between systems, including APIs, messaging, and integration patternsDemonstrate a foundational understanding of emerging technologies (such as Artificial Intelligence), event-driven systems, and identify opportunities to accelerate development, improve product capabilities, or drive innovation across technology domainsFoster an open culture of collaboration and effective communication, both within the architecture team and across Aer Lingus technology and business units, to ensure processes are continuously improved and systems deliver maximum business valuePartner with product and engineering teams to deliver solutions that enhance business capabilities, support engineering planning, and manage schedules and dependencies across teams and domainsWork closely with the Data and Technology Leadership Teams and Product Teams to understand strategic direction, ensuring technology and solution roadmaps – covering data, integration and domain services – are well understood and adopted across the organisationContribute to the planning and development of architecture roadmaps, aligning these with product and technology strategies, and collaborating with delivery and engineering teams to facilitate roadmap adoptionProvide governance and oversight of solution designs, presenting high-level architecture across technology domains to the Solution Design Board for approvalEnsure strong governance of data and integration architecture by providing leadership within relevant councils and forums, promoting adoption and compliance with architectural principles throughout the organisationIdentify systems and services (across all architectural domains) that can be retired or consolidated, to help manage total cost of ownership and inform business unit demand forecastsStay informed of the latest technology and business trends across data, integration and enterprise architecture, making recommendations for adoption to keep our customer at the forefront of innovationThe successful candidate can expect to:Contribute to a growing team focused on delivering valuable features within agile product teams and value streamsSupport in the transformation to becoming a data driven organisationHave your work seen and used on one of the busiest mobile & websites in IrelandPlease note this role operates in a hybrid model with candidates expected to be able and willing to work from our customer's Dublin office twice per week.Required skills & qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent formal trainingExperience in multiple technology disciplines working in high performing teams and environmentsAWS (Amazon Web Services) Certification and/or experience of solutioning for CloudExtensive experience working with event driven architectures including domainExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable to present technical information to a non-technical audienceAbility to lead, mentor & motivate engineers to ensure alignment across solution architecturesImpeccable written & oral communication skillsDesirable skills & qualifications:AWS (Amazon Web Services) Certification and/or experience of solutioning for CloudExperience working within Architectural frameworks and standards such as TOGAF, IASA, ArchiMate or hold equivalent certificationExperience with applying architecture & working in an agile environmentKnowledge of high-volume e-Commerce/retail and Services architecturesPrevious experience of Microservices architecture an advantageExperience with leading technical teams using Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologiesFamiliarity with cloud data technologies, as well as AI and MLOps data architecture practices, particularly in ensuring seamless integration and optimal system performance, would be considered advantageous What’s in it for you: An opportunity to join a fast-growing company  Options for career advancement Learning and development opportunities Flexible working environmentCompetitive salaries based on experience Equal Opportunity Employer:Amach is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
