Apply today to join a firm that is dedicated to you.We are seeking a highly motivated Solutions Analyst with a strong interest in technology and a solid understanding of legal processes to join the team in our Toronto Office. This role sits at the critical intersection of business operations and legal technology, driving initiatives that improve efficiency, optimize workflows, and enable innovation across the legal function. The ideal candidate will combine analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset to help design and deliver impactful technology solutions.Key responsibilities:Partner with stakeholders to gather, prioritize, and document business and legal technology requirements that align with firm objectives.Analyze and map workflows within legal departments to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and technology adoption.Collaborate with IT, Practice Efficiency & Innovation, Legal Professionals, and Business Services to design and implement scalable, user-focused solutions.Develop clear and comprehensive business requirement documents (BRDs) to guide solution design and project implementation.Support the configuration, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement of legal technology solutions and platforms.Research emerging technologies, legal requirements, and industry best practices to inform solution design and technology strategy.Create high-quality user guides, training resources, and documentation to ensure adoption and smooth transition to new processes/tools.Monitor industry trends and innovations to identify technologies to deliver a competitive advantage proactively.Ensure all solutions meet compliance, security, and data privacy requirements while adhering to firm policies.Act as a bridge between technical teams and legal/business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and shared understanding of goals.Support change management activities, including communication, stakeholder engagement, and adoption planning for new technology solutions.Contribute to firm-wide innovation initiatives, helping identify opportunities to leverage technology for competitive advantage and client value.What you'll bring:Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science or Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.2–3 years of experience as a business analyst or similar role, preferably within a legal or legal technology environment.Fundamental knowledge of legal processes, terminology, and relevant regulations (e.g., data privacy, contracts, compliance).Familiarity with legal technology tools such as document management (iManage Work10), Aderant, Adobe Pro, DocuSign, ConsignO, Azure, Microsoft365, OneDrive, CoPilot, Litera Tools, Infoware (WordLX), and generative AI solutions (i.e. Spellbook, Alexi, Laurel etc.).Ability to analyze business processes and translate legal requirements into actionable solutions via BRD’s (Business Requirement Documents).Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.Proficiency in MS Office 365 Suite; experience with workflow or process mapping tools a plus.Experience supporting legal operations or working directly with law firms or in-house legal departments.Exposure to project management methodologies and change management in a legal context.Additional certifications or coursework in legal technology or compliance.
