Solution ArchitectEstimated start date: Monday, 17 November 2025Initial contract duration: 4 monthsExtension term: 8 monthsExperience level: EL1 equivalentLocation of work: ACT, VIC or NSWWorking arrangements: HybridSecurity clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline⸻About the RoleOur Federal Government client is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to support the development of the Australian Government Digital ID System (AGDIS).The role will focus on defining and delivering technical integration requirements that enable private sector Identity Exchange Providers to connect securely and efficiently with government systems.This position requires a highly skilled architect with proven experience designing API-driven, standards-based solutions in environments demanding strong security, interoperability, and trust management.⸻Key Responsibilities• Lead the design of technical features and integration requirements to support AGDIS participation.• Analyse and propose solution options that meet legislative and policy expectations.• Develop standards for trust management, communication protocols, and consent alignment.• Contribute to the creation and ongoing management of Digital ID Data Standards.• Identify and mitigate information security and interoperability risks.• Provide expert technical and security advice to senior stakeholders.• Work collaboratively across government and private sector ecosystems to ensure consistent outcomes.• Build internal capability through mentoring and knowledge sharing.⸻Essential Criteria1. Technical Capability – Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Solution Architect across API systems, Digital Identity, or Identity and Access Management, including design and implementation of OAuth/OIDC applications.• Familiarity with frameworks such as FAPI, NIST, ISM, and OWASP.2. Capacity – Demonstrated ability and resources to provide technical leadership in complex multi-disciplinary project environments.3. Experience –• Experience designing detailed technical solutions aligned with project and policy needs.• Strong background in RESTful API, domain-driven design, and model-driven design.• Experience within agile teams and architecture practice establishment.• TOGAF 9 certification or equivalent preferred.4.
