European Graduate – Analog Designer / Image Sensor DesignerStart date: October 2025 Location: Oslo, NorwayWe are seeking a talented, ambitious & innovative Electronic, Engineering or Physics Graduate to come and join our European Graduate Programme and our incredible design team in Oslo, Norway. Starting in October 2025, our prestigious European Graduate Programme provides an immersive experience from day one.

Your personal and professional development will be supported by networking sessions with graduates from other European countries and departments, and various trainings, including a six-month development program, 'Making of Champion’ which will focus on your leadership skills and attitudes that will enable you to realise more of your potential, achieve meaningful work and personal goals, and develop success habits.

What will your journey look like?Your first 12-month assignment will be in the Sony Europe Design Centre (EUDC) in Norway, when you will have the opportunity to work on an R&D assignment to learn CMOS image sensor (CIS) technology and design. During these first 12-months, you will be afforded the opportunity to spend 1-month training in our Japanese HQ!Afterwards, you will have the opportunity for a second assignment, up to 6 months in another Sony Design Centre in Italy.

On this occasion, you will have a chance to gain a dynamic and challenging view of Sony Semiconductor Solutions Europe, its diverse technologies, projects and different markets. Finally, in the final 6-month assignment, you will have the opportunity to put into practice what you learn, with a new project including product design. Job PurposeReporting to the Analogue Design Manager, this position is expected to work and be trained on the analog circuit design, simulation, layout implementation and physical verification, for CMOS image sensor (CIS) technology and sensor architecture.

You will perform measurements of image quality (IQ) characteristics, support the development of SW tools/scripts to support CIS measurements, summarize and report measurement results, and prepare design documentation. You will work with cross-functional and multi-cultural teams (e. g. digital design team, analog design team, architecture team), following the EUDC design methodology. Periodical reporting, design and architecture reviews, and participation in internal seminars and training are part of the activity. You Will HaveMaster’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Physics. Semiconductor physics is a benefit.

Experience of working with integrated circuit designEnglish speaking and in addition, Norwegian is also preferred, but not essential. Practical experience with electronic circuits. As part of the 2-year program, you will be exposed to a broad range of technologies, resources and activities.
