About the RoleWe are seeking a Sourcing Engineer to play a critical role in shaping the future of the medical/surgical product portfolio. This role focuses on partnering with suppliers, engineering teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet technical, quality, and business objectives. You will be involved throughout the product lifecycle, from early design stages to product launch, ensuring sourcing strategies align with engineering specifications and manufacturing capabilities. What You'll DoDrive supplier development and negotiations, leveraging knowledge of manufacturing processes and commodity strategiesIdentify and qualify new or alternative suppliers to mitigate risk and strengthen supply resilienceWork with engineering teams to understand design requirements and BOMs, ensuring sourcing strategies align with technical specifications.Perform supplier evaluations, qualifications, and ongoing performance reviewsPartner with sourcing and quality teams to ensure components and assemblies meet stringent standardsManage sourcing projects including market research, RFIs/RFPs, contract negotiations, and implementationMonitor and improve key metrics such as supply risk, quality, cost, and lead timeBuild strong relationships across global teams and suppliers to achieve timeline, financial, and operational goals What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Engineering (Required)3+ years of experience in sourcing and supplier developmentExperience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to manage multiple projects and collaborate across functions and time zonesWillingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationallyFamiliarity with validation processes (IQ, OQ, PQ) is a plus
