BOOKING MANAGERMusic Evolved Records | Baylock HoldingsPosition Type: 1099 Contractor (Performance-Based)Reports To: Ebony’s Manager + Chief Operating Officer🎤 ROLE OVERVIEWThe Booking Manager is responsible for securing paid performance opportunities, media appearances, college bookings, brand activations, and private events for Ebony “The Ebonizer” Baylock. This role directly drives the artist’s income and visibility by maintaining a full calendar of profitable, well-negotiated appearances.You are the engine behind the booking pipeline — pitching, negotiating, securing, and closing opportunities that elevate The Ebonizer’s career.🎯 KEY RESPONSIBILITIESBooking & Revenue GenerationSecure paid shows, concerts, festivals, college events, private events, virtual performances, and corporate bookings.Handle pitching, negotiating pricing, riders, logistics, and contracts.Maintain a healthy pipeline of new performance opportunities weekly.Close bookings in alignment with Ebony’s brand strategy and upcoming releases.Market ExpansionBuild relationships with:Venue ownersTalent buyersFestival coordinatorsCollege event plannersCorporate event departmentsEntertainment agenciesMedia outlets (radio, podcasts, TV)Identify new markets and booking opportunities both nationally and internationally.Calendar & Logistics CoordinationMaintain the master booking calendar.Work with the Tour Manager for route planning, travel coordination, and stage requirements.Ensure deposits, contracts, riders, and deliverables are completed before confirming any date.Marketing, PR & Brand AlignmentCoordinate media interviews, promo appearances, and press runs with marketing and PR.Align bookings with EP release cycles, single drops, and major events.Support promotional events (listening parties, city pop-ups, hosting events, etc.)Administrative & Contract OversightCollect deposits, issue invoices, and track all booking-related revenue.Organize contracts and ensure signatures and compliance.Deliver weekly booking reports to Ebony’s Manager and COO. COMPENSATION STRUCTURE (PERFORMANCE-BASED)Commission (Primary)20% commission on all performance bookings you secure(industry standard is 10–20% — this is competitive)Monthly Performance Bonuses$250 bonus for booking:4+ shows per month, or$10,000+ in booking revenue/monthQuarterly Bonus$2,500 if bookings generate $75,000+ in a quarterAnnual Bonus$5,000 if Ebony surpasses $1,000,000 in total booking revenue for the yearRetainer Activation (Performance-Based)$1,000/month retainer once you consistently generate $15,000/month in booking revenue for 60 daysRetainer increases to $1,500/month once you generate $25,000/month for 60 daysRetainer is paid biweekly once activatedOverride Incentives5% override on bookings another team member closes with your assistance2% override on brand deals that include Ebony’s participation (if you support negotiation)TravelAll required business travel is covered by the company.
