Sourcing Specialist

Production Equipment Europe is a leading industrial distributor supplying over 90,000 products to customers across Europe. We are currently recruiting for a Sourcing Specialist to work within our team based in Galway.The Sourcing Specialist will work closely with managers and cross functional teams within the organisation to help drive cost savings and maximise business opportunities.ResponsibilitiesStrategic sourcing of product and global procurementNegotiate pricing, deals, contracts and delivery schedules with suppliersIdentify, evaluate, and capitalise on opportunities to reduce sourcing costs, build on current product offering, and create additional value for customer baseConduct regular market and spend analysis to drive cost savings and supplier improvementsDevelop and maintain relationship with suppliers to ensure high quality & cost effective solutionsPartner with key internal stakeholders to develop business and maximise opportunitiesManage tender enquiries and negotiation of contractsWork as part of a dynamic and experienced team to help achieve company goalsSkills & ExperienceQualification or relevant industry related experience, background in supply chain or sourcing preferredProven track record of supplier evaluation, negotiation & selectionStrong organisational & administration skillsAbility to absorb technical information of productsExcellent negotiation and decision making skillsGood computer skills (MS Office), SAP ERP experience highly desirableFlexible & Pro-active attitude with an ability to think strategicallyAble to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work as team memberAbility to work to agreed time scales and deadlines
