Job Description

Delta Solutions and Strategies is seeking an intelligence and cyber instructor to support professional military education at the National Security Space Institute (NSSI) in Colorado Springs, CO. You will teach a variety of lessons based upon your background to Department of Defense (DoD) students. The instructor will have direct contact with the students in the presentation of course materials, exercises, evaluations, labs, guest lecturers and control of the execution of the lesson and classroom. Instructors teach in graduate and undergraduate level settings and are responsible for accomplishing all activities and tasks required to prepare, review, instruct, guide, evaluate and assess assigned lessons. Instructors must maintain currency with lesson materials and remain abreast of all changes.NSSI is the Department of Defense's premier source for space professional continuing education. NSSI coordinates closely with an array of education partners to fulfill its unique mission of providing in-residence, distance learning, blended, hybrid, and mobile space professional continuing education to more than 6,100 DoD students, U.S. government entities, and international partners annually. NSSI courses have expanded its international education beyond the traditional Five Eyes Alliance (FVEY) to 59+ nations and NATO. NSSI also provides education to USSPACECOM through specialty courses ranging from space intelligence fundamentals, joint targeting, and joint planning processes tointernational coalition education.What you will be doingProvide education and training on space operations, intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), cyberspace operations, and the joint planning processDevelop instruction on how space intelligence collection capabilities support terrestrial operations and how terrestrial ISR capabilities can support space operationsProvide instruction in assigned courses, including mobile/international courses using approved lesson materialsMaintain, update, and provide course lesson materials, including lesson objectives, samples of behavior, lesson plans, and graded measurementsContinually learn and apply teaching methods for effective adult learningProvide instruction on adversary space and cyberspace capabilities, organizations, and doctrine or policiesTeach elements of the joint targeting process and its relation to space and cyberspace fires and effectsApply and teach basic scientific concepts and terminology associated with adversary space operationsProvide an understanding of the unique capabilities, authorities, and how intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) supports cyberspace operations.Understand campaigns and operational planning on how to effectively integrate space intelligence and cyberspace capabilitiesDevelop lesson plans and teach on cyberspace operations, USCYBERCOM, the Cyber Mission Force (CMF), and Space Force's Defensive Cyber Operations-Space (DCO-S) conceptsTeach a basic understanding of cyber-attack analysis models, such as the MITRE ATT&CK framework, and the Aerospace Corporation's Space Attack Research and Tactic Analysis (SPARTA) matrixWhat you will needBachelor's degree; prefer Master's degree or beyondTop Secret/SCI clearance8+ years on intelligence experience4+ years total joint experience, Joint Staff, Command Command-level or component, or service headquarters-level experience3+ years of cyberspace experience, or a cyber-related Master's degree; prefer certifications in CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst (CTIA)3+ years teaching or instruction; prefer university experience or certification from a joint/service instructor courseKnowledge in the latest teaching techniques, classroom management, modalities, media, technology, learning management systems (LMS) and innovationsExperience in the Instructional Systems Development (ISD) and the Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate (ADDIE) model curriculum and lesson development processDemonstrated knowledge with intelligence analysis, collection management, joint intelligence preparation of the operational environment (JIPOE), targeting fundamentals, and intelligence support to mission planningHave a deep understanding of the space intelligence organizational structures, functions, and capabilities, including national intelligence organizations and agencies, U.S. Space Command J2, National Space Defense Center (NSDC), Combined Space Operations Center ISRD, Space Force Delta 7 (ISR), and service intelligence centersAbility to teach National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) overhead systemsComprehensive expert knowledge of threats to U.S. space systems and the means to mitigate those threatsWargaming experience at the national or combatant command levelUnderstanding of security classification guides, classification levels, Foreign Disclosure Officer (FDO) processes, and other guidance as identified in lesson plansDelta Solutions & Strategies offers a generous benefits package to include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), PTO, paid holidays, parental, military and jury duty paid leaves.In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $105,000-$120,000.
