What awaits you in this role?Special Vehicle Engineering Team Member is an energetic/ambitious development team member who works in collaboration with various people and departments to deliver markets special vehicles needs on time, in budget and expected quality and works with agile methodology. Responsible for design, verification and implementation of new parts and features to heavy commercial vehicles for customer satisfaction.As a Special Vehicle Engineering Team Member, you embody energy and ambition, driving innovation and excellence within a dynamic development team. Your role is to collaborate seamlessly with diverse stakeholders and departments, ensuring the timely delivery of specialized vehicles that meet market demands with precision, efficiency, and quality. Working within an agile framework, you take ownership of the design, verification, and implementation of new components and features, elevating heavy commercial vehicles to new heights of customer satisfaction.Principal Responsibilities:• Working as a Product Development Engineer on the design of product (vehicle option / system / part) together with CAD designer, manufacturer, bodybuilder on Ford Trucks Special Vehicle Engineering projects.• Participating in all agile ceremony and complete relevant tasks (such as sprint planning, sprint review, retro).• Collaborating with other team members to estimate the size and complexity of the work in upcoming sprints.• Committing to deliver the planned work in each sprint.• Leading the projects from beginning to end.• Create part list (Bill of Material-BOM) and related technical documentation.• Taking responsibility on design quality process, FMEA, reliability and robustness studies.• Prepare a test / verification plan, organize and follow up the tests.• Ensuring that manufacturers will determine the critical and specific properties for the newly designed parts and prepare their plans.• Publishing engineering changes and following up the implementation of changes.• Following the designs of the adjacent parts that will affect the design of the workpiece and implementing necessary updates, providing information flow with the relevant teams, informing other teams affected by the design change of the parts which are under the responsibility of Ford Trucks Special Vehicle Engineering.• Performing benchmark studies with reference tools and realize cost and quality efficient design, preparing presentations in the format that can be presented in benchmark meetings.• Using quality tools in design quality processes, taking role and responsibility in FMEA, reliability and robustness studies.• Representing “Ford Trucks Special Vehicle Engineering” team at meetings held with other PD departments, plant, suppliers and bodybuilders.• Finding cost reduction solutions by creative thinking.• Visiting suppliers and discussing about supplied parts to improve quality.RequirementsThe person we are looking for is driven, caring and structured.
