Newmont Suriname was established in 2004 as an entity of Newmont Mining Corporation and is headquartered in Paramaribo, Suriname. Located in South America, Suriname was originally settled as a Dutch colony, is very culturally diverse and enjoys a tropical climate. The Merian Project is located approximately 60 km south of Moengo in a largely undeveloped part of the country with the nearest permanent settlement, Langa Tabiki, approximately 17 km east from the Project site. Strong support from host communities and the government of Suriname strengthen Merian's ability to deliver safe, profitable production with significant upside potential and opportunity for employees, host communities and shareholders.DimensionsPurposeTo enable business performance by partnering with people leaders to ensure effective delivery of People systems.Essential DutiesAdvise on People programs, policies and processes, including connection with People function resourcesProvide generalist tactical people partnership across the employee life cycle and touch pointsAdvise leaders on employee relations matters and execute investigations as requiredSupport and execute change management needed for People processes and programsSupport delivery of enterprise People programs, including annual performance management program and talent reviewsPartner with BU and Site People Business Partners to enable of delivery employee life-cycle activities for enterprise function employees based in the BU and SitesCoordinate talent movement globally in partnership with BU and Site PBPs and Global mobility team to ensure engaging employee experienceSupport organizational design governance and team effectiveness initiativesMonitor and diagnose People operational processes and work with CoEs to recommend opportunities for improvementAnalyze key people data and KPIs to recommend process improvements, including governance of data integrity and accuracyTraining & ExperienceKnowledgeChange Management fundamentals. Organizational design knowledge and ability to translate, explain, and execute this with a fast-paced business context.Effective communication skills.
