We’re seeking a Specialist Risk & Compliance Lead to support the implementation of the Biometric Processing Privacy Code within Enterprise Operations.This is a unique opportunity to provide deep subject matter expertise, guiding stakeholders through complex compliance requirements and helping to embed robust risk and compliance practices across the business.Mo te tūranga | About the roleAs a Specialist Risk & Compliance Lead, You WillSupport the development and embedment of risk and compliance activities as part of the Biometric Processing Privacy Code implementation.Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders, enabling them to understand and meet their compliance obligations.Offer practical solutions and robust challenge in the design and implementation of processes, controls, and compliance arrangements for biometric monitoring, with a focus on compliance-by-design.Contribute risk and compliance expertise to relevant Steering Committees and strategic initiatives.Monitor emerging industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.Assist the Head of Compliance and Risk in supporting business stakeholders to manage risks and compliance obligations in line with ASB’s frameworks.Build maturity and capability across ASB in proactive identification and management of compliance incidents and issues, including root cause analysis and response.Foster strong working relationships with key stakeholders across ASB, including distribution and support divisions, Line 2, and Legal Services.Ngā mea kia whai angitū ahau? | What do I need to be successful?7+ years’ experience in financial services, compliance, risk, legal, or a similar field.Strong knowledge of Compliance/Operational Risk Frameworks and the impact of regulatory change on organisations.Ability to interpret and apply complex legislation.Confidence to engage with multiple stakeholders across departments and levels, embracing agile and new ways of working.Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information to non-experts.Strong business acumen and understanding of current and future policies, practices, and trends.Ability to take ownership of complex tasks and deliver agreed outcomes, keeping stakeholders engaged.Effective in managing ambiguity and providing well-considered recommendations.Positivity and resilience under pressure.He aha tā mātou | What can we offer?Get the work-life equation right.
