About The RoleThis full-time 12-month contract Speech Pathologist role (Level 1/ 2) is to work within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to ensure a high standard of Speech Pathology service is provided to patients of the Hospital, along with appropriate support and advice to their carers. The Speech Pathologist will participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a patient-centred, evidence-based, continuous quality improvement work environment that is consistent with the values and ethics of HammondCare and Speech Pathology Australia.This job would be a great stepping stone for Speech Pathologists interested in working with adults with communication disorders and is also suitable for recent graduates.HammondCare is a NSW Health affiliated organisation, all NSW Health transferrable entitlements will be recognised.The essence of this roleProvision of effective and efficient speech pathology service to clients and appropriate support and advice to their carersParticipate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team in assessing patients’ level of functional and care needs, setting joint care goals with patients/carers and providing appropriate treatment.Participate as a member of the HammondCare team in the application of the organisation’s Mission and values to the pursuit of its objectives in a client-centred, continuous quality improvement work environmentAbout YouA tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology as recognised by Speech Pathologist Australia and eligibility for membershipPractical experience or Extensive Knowledge in providing Speech Pathology Services in a Rehabilitation, Aged Care or Palliative Care setting.
