Job DetailsDescriptionWhat the role is all about:The Sport Services team member builds rapport with sport partners and provides the administrative and operational requirements of the Performance Training Centre (PTC) and the Bob Niven Centre (BNC). You will be working closely with the PTC Team Lead and PTC Manager to ensure the effective operation of services to our clientele. The Sport Services Assistant ensures our guests have a seamless service experience from start to finish. Our people will be fun loving, energetic and passionate about sports, fitness and customer service. You will provide administrative assistance to support the effective management of the PTC, BNC, and Sport Operations department, as needed.You strive to approach your work to align with our 4 key behaviours which are at the core of who we are and what we do at WinSport.We are SafeWe are WelcomingWe are Inspiring And we are CreativeWhat You Will Be DoingAnswer telephones, assist guests and athletes, membership sales and other reception functionsMonitor cleanliness of the change rooms and restock towels and supplies in the Performance Training Centre and Bob Niven Training CentreEnsure that all persons entering the building have active memberships or register at reception for day use, scheduled customized training or servicesAccess control for Multisport space, Ice House, and National Sport School student admittanceEnsure all users of the facility have completed WinSport’s Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreements Provide accurate information on WinSport’s products and events and answer all questions about WinSport and the surrounding areaMonitor the central email accounts, action booking requests, cancellations, and answer inquiriesCollect fees and ensure space booked by internal/external groups is properly preparedAlways demonstrate safe work practices by adhering to all WinSport safety policy and procedures and ensuring one’s own safety is preserved along with the safety of co-workers, direct reports and WinSport guests.Be mindful of all safety hazards/concerns within the work environment and ensure all safety issues are reported to the appropriate individualsReview all OH&S notices as they are distributed or posted on OH&S boards located within all departmentsAssist in any other projects or tasks assigned by Team Lead.What You Bring1+ years of guest service experience is requiredPrior cash handling and point-of-sale experience is an assetPrevious fitness center experience is considered an assetStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational abilitiesAble to make independent, time sensitive decisionsProactive, energetic, and ability to multi-taskAble to take initiative and can adapt to frequently changing environmentsComputer skills and typing skills requiredYou Will BeIn an office environment with some bending, lifting, and cleaning dutiesManual dexterity and computer useEvening and weekend work requiredWorking alone occasionallyWhat We Can Offer YouIf an unforgettable experience working alongside an amazing team wasn’t enough, as a WinSport Team Member you also receive the added benefits of:Free Park pass Free parking Reciprocals at other ski resorts Food, beverage, retail and program discounts Access to our world-class gym facility.
