SQL Developer

We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer with 7+ years of expertise to join our onsite team in South Africa. The ideal candidate will have proven skills in advanced SQL programming, database design, performance tuning, and ETL development, delivering robust data solutions for enterprise environments. Strong hands-on experience in SQL Server is essential, along with proficiency in data warehousing, reporting integration, and database administration. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills are required to work cross-functionally and support business-critical initiativesResponsibilities: Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.Design normalized and denormalized database structures, ER diagrams, and data models.query optimization, indexing strategies, troubleshooting slow-running queries, and analyzing execution plans.Backup & recovery, monitoring, security, user access management, and handling migrations/upgrades.Automate repetitive tasks using shell scripting, Python, or other programming languages as needed.Requirements:Minimum of 7+ years of total IT experience in SQL Development, using either MSSQL Server 2016, 2017, 2019, or 2022Advanced SQL Programming , Proficient in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.Database Design & ModelingPerformance TuningDatabase Administration (DBA) SkillsScripting & AutomationCloud/On-Premises DBs, Data Quality & IntegrityWell-documented code, database structures, data flows, and operational procedures.Location: SandtonCandidates who meet the requirements will be contacted, please note that if you don't hear from us within a week consider your application as unsuccessful.
