HTMLGainesville, FloridaManagement & Supervision54035mail_outlineGet future jobs matching this searchorOverviewJob DescriptionThe Senior role will include all PSA duties, which include; managing and negotiating all Patient Specific Agreements (PSAs) for the entire system, UF Health hospitals and physicians in Gainesville, Jacksonville, Central FL, Flagler and additional as added. This role is expected to work at a high degree of independence to negotiate Patient Specific Agreement contracts, bringing in additional patient revenues from payors with whom we are not contracted and specific high-cost drugs PSA's for contracted and non-contracted payors.

This role requires ability to redline and negotiate rates and language for these agreements. Is required to work in a near on call mode with real time accountability and response time for managing these negotiations such that patient referrals and urgent patient care is not interrupted. The Senior Associate PSA Account Manager will be the lead, which the other Associate PSA Account Managers can come to for directive and primary point of contact for questions and training. This role will be involved with creating training procedures, making system changes and updates to the PSA database.

The Senior role will have reporting duties which include monthly and yearly reporting as requested by leadership. It will also be the responsibility of the Sr. to confirm we have been paid correctly, per the negotiated PSAs. The Sr. Associate PSA Account Manager will be required to work with the Director to make presentations to upper leadership as required. QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in business or a health care related field preferred; however, strong healthcare or managed care experience and knowledge may be substituted in lieu of educational requirement.

- Knowledge of hospital and physician billing systems and operational processes. - Knowledge of admission procedures. - Knowledge of typical HMO/PPO coverage and/or benefits. - Two or three years of experience in operationalizing contracts - Proficient in software programs, preferably Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint.
