Job description: Job Summary   The Senior Accountant – Credit Department (Kuwait) is responsible for managing and controlling all receivables for jobs shipped from the Kuwait plant and ensuring that collections remain within DSO targets. The role includes reviewing LC documents before submission to the bank for negotiation, issuing credit releases for new and ongoing jobs (production/shipment), and ensuring that LC and LG terms comply with Kirby’s standard requirements. The position also requires effective communication with all relevant stakeholders for high‑value jobs, preparation of the Weekly Collection Forecast Report, monitoring due LC payments, and coordinating tentative shipment schedules and expected receipts . Job Responsibilities LC checking and documentation review Receivables management and follow-up Verifying and revising LC terms to align with Kirby’s standard terms Coordination with banks for LC advice, confirmation, and related requirements LC negotiation and follow-up for timely payments Issuance of Bank Guarantees Preparation and circulation of the Collection Forecast Report Handling LC discounting Driving cashflows by coordinating with banks for timely LC negotiation credits  Candidate Requirements Minimum 3+ years of experience in banking dealings and trade finance (LC, LG, SBLC, CAD, etc.), including at least 1 year of experience in Kuwait with exposure to Islamic LCs Strong Excel proficiency and strong numerical/analytical skills Good communication and interpersonal abilities Prior banking experience and/or UCP 600 certification is preferred University degree in accounting with strong business acumen
