Sr Analyst, Strategy & Market Planning

GENERAL SUMMARY:Key position requiring strong analytical skills relative to strategic planning and program management to facilitate pipeline sustainability and future store growth opportunities in line with company financial objectives. The Sr Analyst of Strategy & Market Planning will work cross-functionally with leaders of other business units to manage asset strategy of existing fleet, including remodels, relocations, and other store asset related actions. In addition, assists with numerous corporate initiatives and implementation of key strategies to support new store growth.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Conduct performance/data analytics of current stores, competitors, customer behavior, and market share research driving optimal growth strategies and predictive modeling for continued profitable store growth. Support leaders in all internal projects, and seek ways to improve methodology, processes, and team member’s skill sets to deliver value. Support development of more robust and accurate strategies for future development, as well as test alternative strategies not contemplated today. Analyze alternatives for market enhancement to continue to develop a consistent pipeline for profitable store growth. This includes helping to develop specific strategies, team analysis, and undertaking market research that enhances the department’s ability to provide accurate reliable financial analysis to Senior Management. Conduct ongoing analytics to determine the optimal mix of store type, layout, and market mix to meet financial objectives. Coordinates, Tracks, and Measures all ongoing projects and Communicates status to the Market Planning Director, seeking assistance and direction as necessary. Has a leadership role in preparing and making presentations to Senior Management. Assist with strategic initiatives and financial forecasting/reporting for executive-requested projects. Support areas include executive presentation support, bulk lease analysis, competition analysis, alternative modeling, and cost benefit analysis. KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:Solution and results-oriented leader with exceptional attention to detail and organizational skillsHighly analytical with strong problem-solving skills and innate desire for process improvementAbility to collaborate with other departments to achieve business objectives in a participative management styleStrong background in business, finance, and strategic planningAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and produce highly curated and impactful resultsWORK EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION:3-5 years of experience with a minimum of 2 years real-estate or strategic planning/finance experienceBachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.An equivalent of education and experience may be substituted.COMPETENCIES:Strong MS Excel skills capable of building complex formulas and Macros.Strong background in MS PowerPoint with ability to produce Executive-level presentations.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Demonstrates adaptability by adjusting to changing business priorities.Experience with Power BI, 1010, R, and mapping applications such as ESRI preferred.
