SR. COUNSEL (CORPORATE/ COMMERCIAL)

Primary Purpose Of The JobProvide legal support to QatarEnergy on all forms of company and commercial work, including corporate transactional and structuring, commercial transactions, brand protection and management; as well as legal support to QatarEnergy’s corporate functions (Corporate/Commercial Activities) and support on all legal risks and legal issues relevant to Corporate/ Commercial Activities to assist QatarEnergy to achieve its aims in a lawful, effective, ethical and accountable manner.Required Experience And SkillsAt least ten years legal experience (not necessarily post-qualification) in private practice or in-house, a substantial amount of which is in relation to Corporate/ Commercial activities.Ability to assimilate complex legal matters and to provide practical advice to non-lawyers.Effective communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player with members of the Legal Department, as well as other stakeholders.Digital literacy. Advanced expertise and skills in word, incl. MS Office software applications (e.g. Word, and PowerPoint). Highly motivated, proactive, organized, and self-disciplined.Educational QualificationsJD/LLB (or equivalent) degree at a recognized university.
