What will you do?The primary objective is to manage the Customs Clearance and Trade Consultancy for all European+ UK and Asian Countries allowing Landmark Global to Customs Clear own freight, as well as manage Customs Brokerage Vendors whom we subcontract to handle Customs Clearances and to extend our broker solutions in this region. This role affects all of our International Freight movements and is critical to seamless flow of shipments in and out of the European Union+UK and Asia. Additionally, it ensures customs clearance into Belgium for the inbound postal flows is done in the most effective way – with good customer experience and continuously reducing the costs.Main TasksManage Customs Clearance Teams and vendors in the main European, UK and Asian CountriesCustoms Clearance: Provide Customs Clearance Services (Import, Export and Transit) in all modes of Transport into Europe, UK and Asia:Manage the trade service clearance teams in Europe (located in Belgium) & UKManage & extend our external brokers in Europe, UK and Asia and further develop solutions which are needed to further grow our businessGrow the revenue and ebit of the trade services team by building solid trade solutions to support the growth of Landmark GlobalFurther develop & enhanced control measures to reduce risk of customs clearance to ensure in line with business needsGlobal expert in postal customs procedures and enhance customer experience and efficiency in these flowsStay abreast of the customs and tax legislation in the European, UK and Asian countriesEnsure customs compliance in Europe, UK and Asia and inform relevant parties (internal departments plus customers) and align with customs director team in North America to be also aligned on North American legislation impacting EU, UK and Asia clients and build solutions to support these clientsAssist sales on customer visits to present possible solutions, enhancing customer experience and optimizationsCreate new customs products in collaboration with Product, Network and Marketing teams based on needs of our clientsProvide specific customs solutions/cervices such as Refunds, Amends and DrawbacksAssist our Customers with Classification Rulings and other Harmonization ServicesWork with Other Government Agencies in Europe, UK and Asia to obtain any required permits or licenses to import regulated products.Financial responsibility for the correct customs transactions in Europe, UK and AsiaTrade Consulting: Provide Consulting Services for ClientsAssist in looking to set up a Business Entity in the EU and assist them with their Customs ClearancesAssist with Fiscal Representation for Clients monthly VAT Returns in various EU CountriesProvide Customs Consulting Services to Clients to ensure they are importing their products legally and at the lowest cost model possible, among others by assisting with BTI applications with customsWho are you?EducationMaster degree or equal by experienceMin. of 10 years of relevant experience (Customs Brokerage)Knowledge & expertise of EU Customs Laws & Legislation is a must (postal/freight knowledge) and specific customs expertise in BE & UK is requiredSales experience -business developer to Stakeholder management with regulatory authoritiesLanguage skillsFluent in Dutch/French/EnglishCompetencesExpertise in customs clearance procedures (postal/freight)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and negotiation abilitiesManaging teams experience in managing larger teams (local and abroad)Stakeholder management (internal/externalYou are customer-oriented & sales skillsets (business developer) to further build our commercial customs solutionsConceptualizingProficient in customs software and Microsoft Office SuiteBusiness developer: sales competences to build salesYou are a Guide: you define ambitious objectives and give directionYou are a Role model : you are accountable and take initiativeYou are a Developer: you develop to improve performanceWhat do we offer?Like a Long-awaited Parcel, We Want To Make You Feel Welcome And Valued.
