You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.A Day in the Life The Sr Facilities Engineer for Medtronic Ponce Puerto Rico Site is responsible for the buildings and ground total maintenance and special project support to area of responsibility. Assist and support the Facilities Engineering functions in Ponce site, which includes emergency maintenance, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and repairs (corrective maintenance) of all utilities and specially Facilities related equipment. Responsible for the Pest Control Program accurate scheduling, execution, exceptions investigations, monthly trending analysis and regulatory documentation. Coordination and planning of Facilities work orders, trending, equipment repair needs and service interaction with internal customers. Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs. Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules. Direct support for management of daily regulatory documentation regarding Facilities equipment and systems. Develop and maintain Facilities consumable and spare parts to reduce downtime and increase equipment redundancy standby mode. Manages area of responsibility purchase requisitions, orders, and invoicing to full compliance with execution and monthly estimates financial accuracy. Support the EHS Compliance Program to assure sustainability and full compliance with Company procedures and local/federal regulations between other tasks related to Facilities and Utilities area in a teamwork-oriented manufacturing environment. This position will report to the Sr Facilities Manager for the site and contribution will strengthen and support our mission of putting our patient first alleviating pain, restoring health, and extending life for millions of people around the world.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.Plans, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.Must Have: Minimum RequirementsRequires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.May have practical knowledge of project management.Requires a Bachelor degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.Nice To Have- Preferred Skills And EducationBachelor’s degree (BSME, BSEE or BSCE)EIT License and CIAPR active membership.Fluent in writing, reading and speaking English and SpanishCertification in Predictive Maintenance TechniquesKnowledge in Maximo or similar CMMS.Knowledge in Fire Prevention and Sprinklers Systems.Knowledge in Water Softening and Purification Systems.Knowledge in Cooling Tower Water Treatment Systems.Knowledge in EHS Programs related to Facilities area.Knowledge in Microsoft ProjectPhysical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position. The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
