Job Description

We seek a Senior Fleet Engineer to oversee and enhance our truck maintenance operations, ensuring efficiency, cost control, and high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical expertise in fleet maintenance, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to optimize maintenance processes while minimizing downtime.Key Responsibilities:Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs in coordination with the Fleet Planning Engineer.Collaborate with the truck allocation and journey control teams to promptly respond to on-road incidents and breakdowns.Monitor and control maintenance and repair costs while ensuring efficient, high-quality service.Reduce truck downtime by expediting repair processes without compromising quality.Record and analyze accident and breakdown data to identify root causes and recommend improvements.Prepare detailed root-cause analysis reports for on-road breakdowns and accidents.Supervise maintenance workshops, oversee technicians, and evaluate their performance.Ensure spare parts are installed correctly and functioning as per specifications while assessing overall truck condition.Evaluate and manage team performance in line with company performance procedures.Verify that all received spare parts match required specifications and report any non-conformities.Issue purchasing requests (PRs) for new tools, spare parts, and supplies after conducting technical assessments.Job Requirements:Experience: 5–7 years in fleet maintenance, with extensive knowledge of Mercedes Trucks (MP1, MP2, MP3, MP4).Technical Skills: Strong expertise in fleet maintenance, repair requirements, and troubleshooting.Supervisory Skills: Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse teams.Language: Excellent command of English (written and spoken).Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced level) and Oracle ERP (preferred).
