Sr. Network & Security Engineer

Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network & Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage our enterprise network and security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP, Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, and Sophos solutions, with proven ability to ensure high availability, robust security, and optimal performance across complex environments. This role requires a certified professional with deep technical expertise, capable of providing strategic guidance and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:F5 BIG-IP Management:Administer and maintain LTM, WAF, and GTM/DNS modules.Perform configuration, health checks, system tuning, and troubleshooting for F5 devices.Design and implement application delivery, load balancing, SSL offloading, and security policies.Enterprise Security & Networking:Deploy, configure, and manage Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, and Sophos firewalls, VPNs, and security appliances.Ensure secure and resilient network architecture through proper routing, switching, and firewall policies.Perform threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, and implement mitigation strategies.Operational Support & Optimization:Monitor network and security systems for performance, availability, and security incidents.Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for capacity planning, upgrades, and optimization.Maintain comprehensive documentation, network diagrams, and configuration backups.Compliance & Change Management:Ensure adherence to industry best practices, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.Participate in change management processes, including impact assessment and testing.Required Qualifications:Minimum 10-12 years of hands-on experience in network and security engineering in enterprise environments.Proven expertise in F5 BIG-IP (LTM/WAF/GTM/DNS) and Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, Sophos network security solutions.Strong understanding of Layer 3–7 networking, routing, switching, firewall policies, VPNs, load balancing, SSL, and DNS.Hands-on experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and collaboration skills.Mandatory Certifications:F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator (201 & 301)Fortinet NSE 4 / NSE 5 (or higher)Cisco CCNP / CCIE (Routing & Switching or Security)Palo Alto Networks PCNSESophos Certified EngineerCandidates without the above certifications will not be considered.Preferred Skills:Experience with cloud networking and security solutions (AWS, Azure, OCI).Knowledge of automation and scripting for network and security operations.Ability to lead projects, migrations, and complex network/security initiatives.
