Job DescriptionThe Americas Payroll specialist is responsible for, but not limited to, processing payrolls for multiple companies accurately and timely. Ensure compliance with US & Canada federal, state and local payroll laws and regulations. Troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues efficiently. Effectively manage time software to execute timecard processing facilitating seamless payroll processing. Deliver quality customer service in a timely, accurate and professional manner. Partners with ADP, our payroll vendor, to resolve payroll issues and ensure that all taxing liabilities are properly remitted.This role reports to the Americas Payroll Leader.ResponsibilitiesPrimary responsibilities and/or essential functions include: Oversee and process centralized payroll for associates across all fifty states and Canada, with a strong emphasis on accurate time and attendance management. Manage timecard collection, verification, and approval for manufacturing plants, ensuring all time and attendance records are complete and compliant with company policies. Troubleshoot and resolve missing or incomplete timecard information, working directly with plant managers and employees to quickly identify and correct discrepancies. Balance payroll data with time and attendance records to ensure precise and timely payroll processing for all employees. Utilize ADP Workforce Now (WFN) for biweekly payroll processing, batch processing, and pay imports, integrating time and attendance data for seamless payroll execution. Process monthly and quarterly Expat shadow payroll entries and third-party relocation entries, ensuring time data is accurately reflected. Provide support for internal and external audit inquiries, focusing on time and attendance documentation and payroll accuracy. Verify and audit payroll changes entered by HRSS, ensuring all time-related adjustments are processed within established deadlines. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and timecard information, delivering clear and timely support. Maintain payroll and timecard support documents in accordance with internal policies and procedures. Complete payroll reporting requirements per state regulations, with special attention to time and attendance compliance. Collaborate on procedures to streamline payroll and timecard processes, driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency. Assist in special projects as assigned by management, particularly those related to time and attendance systems and payroll integration. QualificationsSKILLS/SPECIFICATIONS: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail orientated with the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong analytical and data gathering skills. Knowledge and understanding of payroll processing systems and other related accounting principles. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office. Enthusiasm for teaching and helping others. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: 5-10 years centralized payroll processing experience preferred with ADP Workforce Now Payroll. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred. ADP eTime experience – set up and processing preferred. Experience with DailyPay preferred. American Payroll Association FPC minimum and CPP certification preferred. ADP custom reporting and Smart Compliance experience preferred. Multi-state payroll experience required; international preferred. Understanding of, and experience with, the Oracle HRIS System preferred. Knowledge of relevant payroll, income tax laws, and regulations in a multi-state setting required.
