Sr. QA Engineer (Project Management + QA) — Japanese Fluency Required

Job Description
We’re seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer with strong project management experience to join our team. You’ll plan, execute, monitor, and test web/mobile projects while coordinating closely with PMs, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver on time, within scope, and on budget.Language requirement (must-have):Fluent Japanese — JLPT N1/N2 or equivalent professional fluency.Able to lead meetings in Japanese, write test plans/bug reports in Japanese, and translate between Japanese and English as needed.ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive testing of web and mobile apps.Define project objectives, scope, roles & responsibilities; participate in requirements refinement with Japanese-speaking stakeholders.Discuss feature specs with clients/executives/developers and document acceptance criteria in Japanese and English.Test daily engineering changes; verify builds on server and app stores; use CI to deploy/test builds.Own Asana (or similar) workflow: move tickets through Tested → Ready/Deployed/Failed; write clear, actionable comments/questions (JP/EN).Facilitate Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, reviews/demos, decision checkpoints); drive continuous improvement.Track milestones, deliverables, risks, and change requests; keep projects on schedule and within scope.Create/maintain test cases, test data, and defect reports in Japanese; ensure traceability from requirements to tests.RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science (or equivalent).3+ years combined experience in QA and/or project management on software products.Japanese: JLPT N1/N2 (or equivalent professional fluency) — spoken and written.English: excellent communication skills.Hands-on with test design, bug reporting, and Agile tools (Asana, Jira, etc.).Comfortable with CI/CD basics and testing builds on simulators/emulators.Strong organization, prioritization, and multi-tasking; proactive R&D mindsetWhat We OfferMarket-leading salaryFlexible working hoursPerformance-based bonusesYearly excursion tripsConveyance allowanceSick/Casual leavesFree LunchNote: Candidates who do not meet the Japanese language requirement will not be considered for this role.
