This is a unique opportunity for a passionate design engineer to join a successful, experienced team working on our next generation WiFi/BT connectivity chips. You will closely work with RF and Analog design experts to architect and design state of the art RF circuits in deep submicron processes. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Development Engineering.Responsibilities & CompetenciesJob DutiesArchitecture and design of high performance, low power, RF, PMU & Analog circuitsLead block design from specification to layout implementation then lab characterizationPerform circuit simulations using standard industry toolsClosely work with system, layout and lab engineersAnalyze and interpret test data to validate designs against specifications and regulatory requirements.Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for design-related issuesHelp the team to deliver PMU/RF IPs on time with the required quality levelCompetenciesGood understanding of CMOS technologies, System-Verilog modeling, and AMS IC validation flowProactive, self-starter, able to work independently in a fast-paced environmentA great team player with the ability to work with dynamic, multi-cultiral, geographically distributed teamsResults oriented, resourceful, and able to solve complex problems through practical use of technology and a solid understanding of product architectureWell organized with strong attention to detail; proactively ensures work is accuratePositive attitude and work ethic; unafraid to ask questions and explore new ideas Excellent analytical and documentation skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsQualifications (Requirements)Engineer degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent5 years of experience in RF-Analog designProven experience in designing RF-Analog circuits for submicron processesHigh proficiency using simulation tools such as Cadence or equivalentNo travel requiredBelief in DiversitySynaptics is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to workforce diversity.
