DescriptionThis is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of AI, building the inference engines that power Amazon's Nova foundation models.You will be a key person in executing the vision and roadmap for Amazon's Nova models, delivering frontier intelligence and industry-leading price-performance.As a Senior Manager, you will lead multiple teams of software engineers and scientists, ensuring innovation, technical excellence, and timely delivery.Key job responsibilities Build innovative technology to serve Amazon Nova Foundation Models at scale Build proprietary inference latency and throughput optimization techniques Drive alignment and execution of key business goals for serving our foundation models Define the technology stack, guide and review key architectural decisions. We value creativity, technical mastery, and a collaborative environment focused on continuous learning and growth.Basic Qualifications 10+ years of SW engineering experience 5+ years of SW engineering team management experience Successful track record of delivering complex, large-scale cloud SW services (AWS/GCS/Azure) Excellent prioritization and collaboration skillsPreferred Qualifications PhD or Masters's degree in computer science or equivalent Experience working with AI model architectures including transformers and diffusion models Experience driving innovation in science and engineering Excellent problem solving skills in a fast-paced environmentAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
