You should have experience creating data-driven, serverless, digital applications, managing the flow of data between centralized data sources and third party APIs, and making sure that internal stakeholders functionality needs are created efficiently and at a high quality. This position can work remotely from Mexico.Essential FunctionsCreate new functionality and maintain existing platform code and testsWork alongside other client and platform engineers to rapidly prototype new ideasCollaborate cross-department to ensure all requirements are met to spec and on timeDeploy your code in a serverless environment, running with high availability and high scalabilityWork with various AWS services such as Lambda, Redshift, Aurora, Dynamo, and SQS to build secure data-rich backend applicationsWork with AI via AWS Bedrock to add artificial intelligence to existing applications and create new workflows utilizing AIAdditional duties as assignedQualifications4-5 years of experience creating digital applications dealing with large datasets.We hire language‑agnostic engineers: fluent in Python/Go/TypeScriptExperience working in the AWS environment, including creating serverless applications using AWS Lambda.Understanding of database technologies including SQL/NoSQL, for example Postgres, Dynamo, and Redshift.Experience working with a team of engineers to rapidly create new functionality, and a strong desire to support your teammates and mentor more junior engineers.Nice to have familiarity with working alongside generative AI, for example Github Copilot, Cursor AI, Claude.Fluent English communication skills required.This role is a remote position, with the occasional visits to the Ensenada office to attend team meetings is required.About Fender Musical InstrumentsFender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) is one of the world’s leading musical instrument manufacturers, marketers and distributors, whose portfolio of brands includes Fender®, Squier®, Presonus®, Gretsch®, Jackson®, EVH®, Charvel®, Bigsby®, and Groove Tubes®, among others.
