Sr. Software System Design EngineerThe RoleThis role is important to achieve agile deployment of the AMD Radeon Open Compute (ROCm) platform solution by supporting the continuous integration of system level SW components. Work with global teams in Shanghai, Toronto and Nis/Belgrade to conduct SW/FW integration and validation to support next generation of AMD machine learning GPU products. Coordinate closely with peers and colleagues to ensure timely and effective communication of all assigned work activities.DURATION12 month contract, with possibility to extend.The PersonWe are looking for a passionate, creative, team-oriented, and results-driven engineer who is ready to work in a fast-paced, cutting-edge technology environment. You will have a degree in computer engineering, software engineering, or electrical engineering and be a team player interested in improving the quality of SW and increasing work efficiency.Required Skills And AptitudesProficient in scripting languages, including Python and Shell Scripting.Hands on experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, Tensorflow or another popular ML software frameworksExperience defining tests plans/strategy and test automation solutionsExperience working with large Source Code base, Configuration management, Source control tools, Git exposure is essentialStrong debugging and analysis skills, for root causing complex issues Excellent English communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skillsDesired ExperienceExperience in GPU driver testing on LinuxUnderstanding of machine learning concepts and neural network architecturesExperience with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins and code reviews tools like gitlabAcademic CredentialsBachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience, Master's degree with 3+ years of experienceBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
