SR Specialist Accounting

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATIONSecures financial operations by monitoring and approving financial processing, reporting; ensure that accounting records and documentation comply with the requirements of the Group Finance Manual. This role is part of a diversity hiring initiative for women, Black, Indigenous, LGBTQIA+, and PWD candidates.Key ResponsibilitiesMeets accounting financial standards by monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actionsMaintains financial security by adhering to internal controlsVerifies accuracy of data and data processing of accounting related informationPrepares monthly intercompany reconciliationSupports accounting procedures, ensure month and year-end balance correctly reflect the economic-financial reality of the companyAssist internal and external auditorsMaintains the ERP system and its interfaces with other applicationsSupports creation of financial reports according to IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and local GAAPProvides training to workers in both orally and writing form on accounting systems, principles and practicesKEY RELATIONSHIPSLocal financeLocal FP&ALocal TaxLAM Regional AccountingKnowledge, Skills And AbilitiesDegree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related fieldsAdvanced or fluent English (regional and global communication)Experience with external auditingExperience in inventory reporting (products or retail)SAP and Excel skillsSolid knowledge of financial processes and accounting principlesadidas celebrates diversity, supports inclusiveness and encourages individual expression in our workplace.
