POSITION SUMMARY:K2 Services is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Benefits Specialist to support the administration and operations of the company’s employee benefit programs. Reporting to the Benefits Manager, this role will assist with day-to-day benefits administration, open enrollment, vendor management, and merger-related benefits integration. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and dedicated to ensuring a smooth and positive benefits experience for employeeRoles & ResponsibilitiesAdminister and support all employee benefits programs: health, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), wellness, and other voluntary benefitsAssist with annual open enrollment: coordinate with vendors, manage communications, support HR business partners, and ensure accurate enrollment in Workday or other HRISSupport onboarding of new employees into K2 benefits programs, including merger-related integrations, ensuring smooth enrollment and accurate dataPartner with vendors: assist with contract management, monitor performance, resolve billing/invoice issues, and support cost and service optimizationEnsure compliance with benefits regulations, retirement plans, and filings (e.g., IRS, ERISA, 5500, COBRA, ACA)Support retirement plan administration, including 401(k) setup, contributions, recordkeeping, participant education, and plan testingCollaborate with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate tax treatment of benefits, contributions, and reimbursementsMaintain accurate benefits data in Workday (or other HRIS), run reports, and support auditsProvide guidance and support to employees on benefits-related questions, plan changes, and issuesAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for benefits programsContribute to benefits communications, including guides, FAQs, webinars, and employee educationIdentify opportunities for process improvements, benchmarking, and enhancements to benefits programsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:Strong understanding of benefits compliance (ERISA, IRS rules, 5500 filings, COBRA, ACA), retirement plan administration (especially 401(k)), and tax implicationsSolid project management skills, with ability to support open enrollment and benefits initiativesStrong analytical skills and experience running or interpreting benefits reportsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently in a remote environmentCollaborative and adaptable, able to work closely with the Benefits Manager and other HR team membersQUALIFICATIONS:Experience:3–7 years of experience in benefits administration or total rewards, including hands-on management of benefit programs and vendorsExperience using HRIS systems (ideally Workday) for benefits administration and open enrollmentDemonstrated ability to support vendor relationshipsExperience supporting benefits work during a merger, acquisition, or large-scale employee integration is a plusEducation/certifications:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related fieldSHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR/SPHR certification preferredCEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) highly preferredAdditional benefits-related certifications (e.g., IFEBP certifications) are a plusPowered by JazzHR0fgmjKYEoW
