SUMMARY: Responsible for the review and approval of hazardous documentation, ensuring strict compliance with regulatory and company standards. This role demands exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in validating sensitive documents. Should demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing and fully leverage relevant hazardous certifications, applying their expertise throughout the certification period. Success in this position requires adaptability to changing schedules and the ability to maintain focus and productivity during repetitive tasks strongly connected to Safety, supporting the completion of daily operational volumes. Responsible for creating bookings and dedicated support to Key Accounts and targeted market ensuring customer satisfaction and retention within Customer Operations established policies and regulatory requirements. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee the validation and approval of hazardous documentation, applying rigorous standards to ensure accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities include performing high-volume data entry tasks with speed and precision, maintaining focus during repetitive processes, and adapting to fluctuating work schedules to meet daily completion goals. The role also involves actively seeking and applying relevant certifications, such as IMDG and DOT, and integrating this expertise into daily operations to enhance quality and safety.Coordinate all tasks related to cargo delivery, maintaining record of cargo to be manifested and cleared. Verify information submitted to ensure documentation and bill of lading process flows according to standards. Receive, reconcile, consolidate documents and information from customers. Prepare and analyze reports related to cargo booking, export and import documentations. Correct errors, develop leads, recommend process improvements and deliver value added services. Identify and assess customer needs to achieve customer satisfaction and build long-term relationships. Handle complex customer inquiries and complaints offering appropriate solutions within guidelines ensuring customer satisfaction. Influence and sell customers Crowley value added services and aid in onboarding customers using our Crowley customer platform. Identify and report areas of opportunity for enhancement to existing processes to assist in better meeting the customer needs. Influence and sell customers with Crowley's services offerings. Inform supervisor and manager of any situations that may impact service, cargo delivery at destination and customer satisfaction. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in business or a related field; or equivalent combination of post high school education and experience. Certifications in IMDG and DOT preferred. EXPERIENCE: 3+ years of related experience in the transportation/logistics industry; prior experience in booking, customer service, documentation, BL revisions, or Hazardous cargo is preferred. TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook and Excel. COMPETENCIES: Key competencies include exceptional attention to detail, advanced typing proficiency, and the capacity to sustain focus over long periods. Demonstrate adaptability to changing schedules and operational requirements. Preference will be given to individuals with existing IMDG and DOT certifications, as well as those who consistently deliver accurate results in a dynamic, high-volume environment.Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills. Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting assigned deadlines. Ability to perform accurately in a detailed oriented environment. Ability to function effectively with or as part of a team. Ability to gather, interpret, report and use data and other information concerning assigned activities. Ability to manage projects that may vary in nature and scope. Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of import forwarding and customs brokerage in a domestic and/or international capacity. Knowledge of U.S. transportation regulations (DOT and IMDG), and import/export regulations. OTHER: Bilingual (English/Spanish). JOB SCOPE: Position impacts multiple business units/segments. WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal hybrid environment including home and on-site office with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
