Staff Accountant

The ideal candidate will be responsible for Perform/Support the month end activities which include closing of sub ledgers, general ledger account reconciliations, reporting and balance sheet account analysis.Prepare month end Flux analysis for all P&L and Balance sheet accounts and share with Stakeholders along with the analysis on the reasons for the changes.Demonstrate a proficient level of professional skill and knowledge in accounting and apply this in-depth knowledge, principles and systems design to recognize complex and unique issues and develop resolution and/or consistently consult with leadership in order to achieve resolutionEnsure appropriate financial policies, procedures and internal controls are in place, documented and also work on process improvements.Responsible for Preparing Balance sheet reconciliations and taking necessary action on all the issues appropriately.Interact and work closely with the internal stakeholders.Responsible for GRC compliance, internal control and get the alignment of improvements/changes with the Stakeholder.Perform and support new business/system launches including UAT of the accounting entries and financial reporting.Basic qualifications2+ years of transactional accounting field experienceAccounting Degree or related field with 2+ or more years of experience.Experience in month end closing of books of accounts / working on various sub-ledgers / accounting knowledge / balance sheet reconciliation & reporting activitiesB2 English levelKnowledgeable in ExcelAbility to work full-time onsite at Heredia offices 5 days per weekPreferred qualifications1+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experienceExperience using Oracle Financial ApplicationsExperience working on operational excellence and process improvement & simplificationFlexible, proactive, and self-motivatedStrong written and oral communication skillsKnowledge of Six Sigma defect reduction techniques
