Our purpose-built unit provides specialist care for patients with Cystic Fibrosis, and occasionally for those with other respiratory conditions.
The unit comprises five inpatient rooms and five outpatient consultation rooms , offering a unique setting where you can develop specialist skills while delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. With minimal supervision , be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients needsTo assist in promotion of healthDemonstrate sound knowledge of infection control standards and promote these within a unit environmentTo participate and assist in the systematic monitoring and evaluation of nursing careTo liaise with the team leaders on untoward incidents ,complaints and team/staff issuesTo act in accordance with the trust policiesTo maintain your own profileTo act as a mentor to care assistants and assist in the induction of new staffTo support maintain team nursing, promoting good working relationship s within the MDT and internal and external contactsTo attend meetings and generate new ideas and initiativesTo attend mandatory updates in Fire, manual handling and blood transfusionTo act as nurse in charge of the unit, co-ordinating admissions, transfers and dischargesTo ensure confidentiality or patients information regarding patients, families and friends at all timeFrimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is committed to being an inclusive and disability confident employer and has been awarded the Gold for the Armed Forces Employment Recognition Scheme.
