Job Description

Stakeholder Manager based in Pohang office will drive the project’s development lifecycle from origination to completion, directing the gathering of information from multiple sources and ensuring that all stakeholders remain updated and aligned. This is a hands-on position requiring excellent communication skills, high attention to details and the ability to work within a cross-functional team of professionals located elsewhere.  Develop wpd’s pipeline projectsActively develop multiple onshore wind projects in the Gyeongsangbuk-do province with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and management:  ·      Preparation of permit applications and active consultation/negotiation with permitting authorities ·      Presenting the project to various type of local stakeholders e.g. government officers, landowners or local residents·      Securing the consent of local stakeholders through negotiation of agreements·      Organizing and participating in site investigations with wpd colleagues and external contractors·      Identifying and reporting of local development risks and propose mitigation measures ·      Manage external consultants by defining the scope of work and reviewing the outputs in line with the agreed schedule and budget·      Closely communicate with the wpd Team in Seoul and Germany to keep everyone updated on the progress and ongoing developments·      Support project land identification of landowners and commercial/legal negotiation until a final agreement is reached·      Be the interface in between internal experts and external consultants·      Support the general administration of the wpd’s Pohang office from time to time ·      Participate to the team and company growth in the marketü Propose improvement of processesü Catch up the changes in law, regulation, governmental policy and assess the opportunities and risks  Support the expansion of the pipeline through support of green field site search and project acquisitions·      Support the evaluation of green field projects through on-site investigations·      Support due diligence reviews on potential project sites to evaluate the project suitability Basic Qualifications·      Must be passionate about the renewable energy business·      Strong communication and presentation skills in Korean and preferably in English·      5+ years related experience in renewable energy project development or other relevant industries with similar development scope·      Proven ability to solve problems and develop value-added solutions quickly and accurately·      Track-record of leading teams to support energy, infrastructure, or real estate projects·      Outstanding organizational and people skills·      Understanding of engineering and renewable energy systems·      Builds trust by demonstrating high ethical standards and personal integrity·      Self-motivated, self-starter who can work independently when necessary
