Your missionYou are curious about startups and enjoy taking responsibility instead of just following a checklist? As a Startup Program Associate (m/f/d), you help design and improve how our startup programs run: you organise formats, keep an eye on details, and actively look for ways to make things work better for founders and partners. In this role, you learn directly from an experienced team and grow into the startup ecosystem step by step. Join our team and gain first-hand experience in the startup ecosystem and build a strong network across founders, corporates, and investors.Your ResponsibilitiesWork closely with Startup Program Managers to plan, prepare and deliver startup programs (e.g. bootcamps, accelerator, challenges) and continuously improve processes.Coordinate appointments, workshops, coaching sessions and events – online and on‑site in Essen.Be the first point of contact for participating startups for organisational questions and make sure they know what happens next.Prepare and update presentations, reports and information materials for different stakeholders.Keep overviews of mentors, investors, startups and partners up to date and suggest improvements where needed.Contribute to scouting and outreach activities for startups interested in our programs.Your profileWhat You OfferYou like to take initiative, think critically, work independently and bring your own ideas to the table.You are open to feedback, reflect on your work and see learning as part of the job.You are comfortable communicating with different stakeholders (e.g. founders, mentors, partners) and can adapt your style to the situation.You prefer to improve and structure things rather than just “keep them running”.Structured and reliable way of working, even when several topics run in parallel.Very good German skills and good English skills, spoken and written.NICE TO HAVEInitial experience in project work, event organization, or the startup/innovation scene is a plusFirst Experience in running events, programs, or community formatsExperience with tools such as PowerPoint/Keynote, Excel/Sheets, CRM or community toolsEven if you do not meet all criteria, your application is welcome.
