Job Purpose:The Steel Construction Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of steel structure projects, including planning, fabrication, installation, and inspection. The role ensures that the project is executed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with all local and international quality standards, with a strong understanding of Saudi regulatory frameworks and project execution in the GCC. Key Responsibilities:Lead and supervise steel structure works across the full project life cycle – from mobilization to handover.Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and subcontracting teams to ensure alignment with construction schedules.Manage steel fabrication, erection, and welding activities according to project specifications and safety standards.Review and interpret structural steel drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication details.Monitor work progress and quality, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry codes (e.g., AISC, AWS, ISO).Supervise subcontractors, site engineers, and construction crews.Conduct regular site inspections and issue corrective actions for non-conformities.Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC), Royal Commission requirements, and NEOM, Aramco, or similar client-specific standards when applicable.Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, lookahead schedules, and RFI logs.Participate in project planning, budgeting, and cost control related to steel works.Liaise with consultants, clients, and regulatory authorities on project matters.Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies and procedures. Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.Professional certification (e.g., PMP, AISC Certified, AWS CWI) is a plus.Minimum 10 years of experience in steel construction, including at least 5 years in managerial roles within the GCC, preferably in KSA.Proven track record with large-scale industrial, infrastructure, or commercial steel projects. Technical Skills:Proficient in AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, Navisworks, and MS Project/Primavera P6.Strong knowledge of welding, bolting, lifting, and assembly techniques.Familiarity with KSA labor laws, visa regulations, and local supplier/subcontractor management.
