Strategic Planning & Research Intern

Tanoto Foundation is looking for intern that will support the Strategic Planning and Insights team in conducting research and trend analysis, as well as providing inputs for the organization’s quarterly reviews. This includes desk research (reviewing academic journals, reports, and relevant articles), synthesizing insights into concise outputs, and visualizing data under the guidance of the Strategic Planning Lead. The role offers direct exposure to strategic analysis, organizational review processes, and the application of evidence for decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct literature reviews of academic journals, research reports, and articles relevant to education, philanthropy, and human capital development.Identify and document emerging trends that may influence the organization’s strategic direction.Prepare research briefs and summaries to feed into quarterly reviewAssist in preparing materials that synthesize research and program data into structured insights.Develop visualizations (charts, infographics, and slides) to highlight trends and findings.Support comparative analysis with external benchmarks and peer organizations.Contribute to drafting summaries of key insights and implications for strategic planning
