What you'll do: As a Sourcing Specialist based in Singapore, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the organisation's supply chain by developing holistic strategies that span sourcing through to supplier relationship management. Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you collaborating with internal teams to optimise procurement processes while ensuring full adherence to international trade regulations. You will be empowered to lead contract negotiations with suppliers, oversee performance reviews, coordinate product returns or recalls when necessary, and provide actionable insights through detailed reporting. Success in this role means not only achieving cost savings but also upholding high standards of ethics and sustainability in every aspect of sourcing. * Develop, plan, and execute strategic sourcing initiatives that identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers to support organisational growth across multiple industries. * Lead contract negotiations and manage supplier agreements to achieve cost savings while ensuring value creation and reliable delivery performance. * Align procurement strategies with overall business objectives by integrating trade compliance requirements and inventory optimisation targets into daily operations. * Leverage market intelligence, cost analysis, and benchmarking data to drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance competitive advantage. * Promote ethical and sustainable sourcing practices that reflect the organisation's core values of integrity and respect throughout all procurement activities. * Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent product quality, service reliability, and operational excellence across the supply chain. * Oversee supplier qualification processes including audits and performance reviews while proactively mitigating supply risks related to quality or delivery. * Negotiate long-term agreements and implement cost-improvement programmes that foster innovation as well as collaborative partnerships with key suppliers. * Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to streamline procurement workflows for improved efficiency, transparency, and regulatory compliance. * Monitor key procurement metrics such as cost performance, supplier reliability, and on-time delivery; prepare detailed management reports highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. What you bring: You will bring proven experience managing complex procurement related projects within highly regulated industries such as Oil & Gas or Chemicals. Your background should include hands-on involvement with contract negotiation, supplier evaluation processes, compliance monitoring, and process optimisation initiatives. Your interpersonal skills enable you to nurture positive relationships both inside the company and externally with suppliers. A commitment to ethical conduct guides your actions at every stage of the sourcing cycle.
