Structural Engineer (Aluminum Crossover Sport Cruiser – Walk-Around Pilothouse)Location: RemoteContract Type: Project-BasedCompany: Navalty We’re looking for a Marine Structural Engineer with experience in aluminum yacht and small craft design, to join our team on a high-performance Crossover Sport Cruiser (Walk-Around Pilothouse) project.This vessel is being designed and engineered under ISO Category C (Inshore) in compliance with ISO 12217-1 and EU Recreational Craft Directive (RCD II) standards.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and validate structural design and scantlings for the aluminum hull and superstructure.Prepare FEA-based reinforcement layouts, load path analyses, and structural member plans.Ensure compliance with ISO 12215 / ISO 12217-1 and other applicable class standards.Collaborate closely with naval architects and 3D CAD designers to ensure structural efficiency and manufacturability.Review design documentation, weight distribution, and stability impact from a structural perspective.RequirementsProven experience in aluminum hull design and structure engineering for small craft or yachts (10–20m range preferred).Strong knowledge of ISO 12215, ISO 12217, and EU RCD II compliance.Proficiency with Rhino + Orca3D, Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar CAD/FEA tools.Understanding of welding techniques, extrusion profiles, and fabrication constraints in marine-grade aluminum.Ability to work collaboratively within an international team of naval architects and designers.Why Join UsAt Navalty, we specialize in next-generation yacht and marine design, blending engineering precision with modern aesthetics.
