Login Now Structural EngineerCompany: Babcock Power (Thailand) Limited Location: Bangkok, Thailand Job Type: Engineering Position Summary:Perform structural engineering calculations and analyses. Take a lead position in the preparation, performance, and on-schedule completion of project work. Document and report findings in a clear and concise manner. Plan, lead, and participate in project and client meetings. Work in a task-based environment to meet the project requirements, and schedule and budget demands of the department, project managers, and others.Essential ResponsibilitiesPerform appropriate and accurate engineering analyses using hand calculations, approved spreadsheet programs, Engineering Standards, or advanced analysis tools in support of projects. Provide analysis results in an effective form (written, marked up drawings, sketches, spreadsheets, presentation, as required) on work performed. Participate in project team and client meetings, as needed. Provide leadership by learning, developing, and coordinating new techniques, standardizing procedures, and providing technical instruction and mentoring to department staff. Provide organized and well written reports to describe assumptions, steps taken, and results from work performed. Monitor the work product of vendors by performing technical and drawing reviews.Identify/develop and use tools and techniques that improve the accuracy and/or efficiency of Department and project work. Archive project and Department information in the appropriate Company database (DCAP, Notebooks, etc.). Follow all Company and Department ISO Procedures and Work Instructions. Evaluate previous methodology and results to establish design factors, comparative values, and modify or create procedures and Engineering Standards. Provide recommendations and promote development of new products, keeping abreast of competitor’s technology and industry needsJob Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil EngineeringMinimum 3 years in Steel structural design.Minimum 1 years' experience in Power Plant, Petrochemical Plant.Familiar with International Building Code, ASCE, AISCMust be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and respond quickly to problems.Comfortable using structural software such as Autodesk Robot, STAAD.proGood communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment Preferred: passed the Engineer in Training Exam; Master of Engineering with emphasis in structures
